ABOUT ME…
Hey! I am Hila Di Castro. I am an actress, international improviser and trainer based in Israel. You can find me every year in Pandora improve festival (Italy) as the artistic director of the international cast of the festival.
Since graduating from Acting Studio in 2002, I have acted in diverse theater, television and film productions in Israel (including the movie “7 blessings” which won 11 Israeli academy awards).
In 2005, I have re-discovered the world of improvisation (after being terrified of it in acting school) and I fell in-love! This art form has changed my life, became my home, my life philosophy and my guldens.
Since then I have founded and performed with several improv groups in Israel including LAMABAT the trio “Momentum” – one of the leading improv groups in that perform in Israel and around the world
In 2022 I have created the format and show called – WOMAN UP! An international, revolutionary, hilarious, authentic and mind blowing show that aims to expose what it feels and mean to be a woman on this planet. I am the creator, director, artistic director and producer of this show that performs regularly in Israel and with groups around the world. My vision with this show is to have women group in every country and every city around the globe performing this show.
Since 2016 I am touring the world performing and teaching acting and improvisation – As festivals instructor or private calling. I have been performing and teaching in more than 10 countries. (Including: Finland, Estonia, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Italy, Canada, Sweden and more…)
everywhere I go I bring my unique, inspiring, personal style and improv philosophy.
Last but not list – I am the co-founder and the artistic director of “equal & above”- an improv performance and workshops that teaches and advocate gender equality throughout Israel.
On a personal note: I am married and a mother to three children (including two adorable twins) and a dog named Lili. I love escape rooms Apps, cook Moroccan dishes with recopies I inherited from my grandmother, I love crazy water park slides and detective dramas. I am a brown belt in Jujitsu, and my favorite animal is the sea turtle.
